Colour particles mess up airflow as any fule knoe.
Much as I love proper metal rims, GEL280s used to go out of true every time I raced them when laced radial; every other time when laced 2 cross and exploded without warning every time I began to feel safe when laced 3 cross. I hope 280g Fiamme are better!

Upside, is that 72kg post-dump? If so (and presuming a pre- weight of 74kg) that's an impressive clear-out! Actually, same race weight as me, which is why the last picture of me in a competitive hillclimb is in black & white and I had hair.
