My old man runs the Fablab in Strathclyde uni and is always telling me I should make use of the stuff there which I really want to do but so far haven't.
Membership is now open to non students so I'm going to join, I figure paying for it will motivate me to use it.
I know nothing about 3d printing (but I do have a basic understanding of 3d design packages and more than a basic understanding of 2d ones) so I'm looking for ideas of things I can print etc. I fancy doing one of those light mounts that go onto rack/mudguard braze ons for a start.
I have no idea what size the 3d printer there is nor the resolution/type etc so will probably need to make a visit and suss that out first.
They have a vinyl cutter I'm pretty sure so might try make some custom decals, maybe for my motorbike more than any of my bicycles though.
Giving this thread a bump/hijack.
