• 2nd bike to go.

Acquired this for the wife via a local chap in Surrey, never had a hard life this bike. Was originally fitted with Profile TT bars and covered in Total fitness vintage shop stickers but no actual frame name or head badge. Has since been stripped, polished and rebuilt. Any one who can identify it gets a mystery star prize.

Pearlescent paint with yellow and purple fades and star/vector details. Very tiny bits of paint patina but chrome is immaculate on the forks and rear stay. Really nice gussets and details. Very clean and tidy bike.

Looks like it was painted by Carlos Dossena - he painted for a lot of the big names, mainly out of Northern Italy (specifically Milan) but also across Switzerland/France etc.

Of all the builders he painted for, I'd say the features on this bike point to a possible Olagnero. At least, the neatly scalloped finish on the rear dropouts, the lugwork, the brakebridge, the seat cluster, the chevron chroming on the chainstay and the distinctive chroming on the rear dropouts themselves, I've only ever seen all together on Olagneros.

But that could all just be coincidence too!

Now what's that mystery star prize? :)
