Turns out they'd be quite expensive though possibly still an option if they're packed together tightly. I think I'm gonna go for the Shimano pedals. If worst comes to worst i have to replace the pedals but i don't see the clips snapping any time too soon.
In the meantime I'll try to accumulate as many extra clips as possible.
Update on the ratio: I think i will be going 48/18.
