Just went over to local shop to get the seat post and check seat tube diameter. I went for a system ex 27.0mm post. Though definitely not the most period correct choice by a long shot, albeit I don't care much for that, the logo is decently subtle and its practical.
That said if anyone knows of any low risk, easy techniques regarding the removal of the logo, which I presume is anodised, I'm open to suggestion.
