I suspect it's more than 100g heavier? as it'll be without poles. Not sure, but maybe. Still a great tent, and unless you are gram counting like me for the divide, another 100g for a more sturdy groundsheet is probably worth it anyway. The groundsheet on mine is very thin, but apparently surprisingly durable. It's also very slippery, so if you pitch on a slope, you slide.

you can use sealant/spirit mix on the inside of the floor to stop slippage.. Just a couple of foot wide stripes will do.

I think the alternative base material is also meant to overcome the slipperiness too. As for the weight, clearly I have no way of verifying the figures and can only go by what I can find out - until I buy it of course!

The latter is bang-on what I have seen elsewhere for the weight at 24oz/680g. Does that measure up with yours in the flesh? If so I'd be willing to take a punt on the heavier one.

Interesting, cheers mate. I have spotted the LE version on a US site for about 115GBP, seems to have a tougher floor for a modest weight penalty. 788g apparently, so 100g penalty for more durability.
Obviously that price is shipped to the US but I might be able to work something out, seems like a no-brainer at that price.
