The thing that encourages bicycle theft is the utter cunts who buy stolen bicycles.

Or prepared to buy a bike very cheaply. From experience of acquaintances bragging how cheap a bike was and then getting quite annoyed at me pointing out that it is probably stolen.

I'm sure they have very strong suspicions but they just don't care.

Look at gumtree, dodgy adverts and pictures not of the actual bikes. Sold several bikes on gumtree was even told by one person I sold a bike to that at least it was the other side of the river so that if it was stolen it was stolen from the other side of the river.
