And we're not the only one that struggles with this, even Google Calendar has these issues to some extent: https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/2367918?hl=en
The only edge case is about events that span daylight savings changes, and in our scenario as we're using a simplified version events created/editing within one DST and that occur within another.
