I would imagine that if they left it unattended (TLF - bus oil leak) then you should be able to sue them and get some money of TFL.
re your hand - I have crashed in March this year and as much as I wished my wrists were only strained it turned out that I had chipped one of me bones and damaged other wrist as well. Get it checked properly. Its been now over 6 months and my wrists are not 100%
