Re debt: I just had a look at the Lord's report "Scottish independence: constitutional implications..." http://www.parliament.uk/Scottish-independence. It says the apportionment of assets and liabilities should be "equitable", so if the rUK refuses to give an "equitable" share of the assets then iScot could refuse an "equitable" share of the debt.
