Due to a late cancellation in workspace Bikeworks are able to offer a Level 2 accredited City and Guilds course in bike maintenance for only £799 reduced from £1,500.

This is the industry standard course designed delivered in compressed form to secure a level 2 qualification in only 10 days.

Whilst this is designed for people working in the bike industry it assumes no prior knowledge and is also suitable for people looking for a career change or cyclists interested in taking their maintenance or bike building skills to a professional level.

For those that are looking to move into the bike industry, Bikeworks has links to all of the major employers and can provide support and assistance looking for work.

The course includes access to industry standard tooling and equipment with training provided by mechanics with over 10 years’ experience.

The course will be delivered from our workshop in Bethnal Green and run from Monday the 6th of October to Friday the 17th of October from 9:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday.

The course will cover the following:

• Day 1: Introduction, H&S, Parts of a Bike, Workshop Practice, Tyres, Tubes & Puncture Repair
  
• Day 2: Remove and Replace a Cycle Rim Brake Assembly
  
• Day 3: Transmission – Remove & Replace a Cycle Gear Assembly
  
• Day 4: Service Cycle Hubs, cup & cone and sealed cartridge
  
• Day 5: Servicing Headset Assemblies including frame preparation
  
• Day 6: Service Bottom Bracket & Cranks including frame prep
  
• Day 7: Wheel Building
  
• Day 8: Wheel Building Cont’d
  
• Day 9: Augment a Cycle & Systematic Cycle Check
  
• Day 10: Strip and Rebuild, Change a Cycle Frame
