I am currently in New York for work, and @sensom will be joining me in September. There is some pretty good riding around these parts and he wanted a road bike so smash around on. Rather than buying and building in the UK, I will collect and assemble (as much as I can) in the US - taking advantage of slightly better prices - and then we can speed away as soon as he arrives.
I have advised as much as I can on some of the parts. He opted for a 2013 CAAD10 Black Inc. frame, which limits the build to Di2. Given the prices here, it looks like 6870 will be the groupset of choice. The bike came with a seatpost, saddle and stem which will be utilised to keep the price down. We are gonna aim for as close to 7kg as possible. Prices will be in USD, weights in grams. Any suggestions are kindly accepted.
