Halvarsson are really good, made in Sweden, so they know a thing or two about weatherproofing. I got some fabric trousers online from Motolegends. A mate bought a full suit on my recommendation and says he's happy with it.
They are a very friendly company to deal with, online or on the phone, but they told me I could go down to their place in Guildford and try things on if I was unsure. I'd definitely recommend them.
Second vote for Hood jeans as well. I have a pair of Kyrano long-john type things from them, which are kevlar with CE armour, designed to wear under any normal clothes. I can't seem to find them on the website, so they may have been discontinued, but they are good, if a little warm. They mean I can wear vintage belstaff trousers without worrying too much about sliding down the road in waxed cotton.
