Hadn't actually thought of the Caad frameset but I'd looked at a complete SuperSix with 105. Still both out of my price range though, by a whisker. Already stretched the budget a good 300 beyond what I intended to.
So far
650 for the frame and forks
450 for Ultegra (would have gone for 5800 but seems to be out of stock everywhere)
another 400 for the Swissside Gotthards a couple of months back.
All in with finishing kit it's probably going to be £1,650.
If I'd had the money to but something outright I probably would have gone straight to the Canyon Factory Outlet and got something tasty from a few years ago for <£2000
