Indeed. I do remember there was a rider once that rode some stages, maybe the whole tour with a fractured scaphoid. Couldn't believe it. His brace did look pretty epic though.

I couldn't even pick up a pen when my was broken!

Tony Martin rode the tour with a broken scaphoid in 2012.

I broke mine 8 weeks ago and it showed on x-ray immediately. It didn't hurt particularly, but the wrist was swollen.
