Dawes Londoners were built as light weight touring bikes, under licence from Dawes by the long since closed Covent Garden Bikes based on 1950’s designs. They typically used standard Reynolds 531 steel tubes although this one must have been a special one - it’s of the 531st variety.
This is a true London classic.

The result is a super light comfortable bike with classic styling – perfect for just about everything that doesn’t involve any big hills.
We’ll be sad to see her go, but times move on and new bikes await …
