left speakers corner at 7pm ish and eventually arrived here at 4.30 ? ( with an extra 3 then 2 people, picked up at a rather lively pub stop in bracknell )
mounted the ramparts and watched the sun rise into a cloudless perfect sky, my first time ever,
en route we passed through sleepy villages and tree lines b roads and had clear skies above us all the way
the odd impromtu stop for refreshments and incidents
after the big moment people had to shoot off to catch trains but i decided to hang around a bit longer and enjoy the goings on. and explore the site a bit further,
cloudless sky at about 7am
once suitably restored, fed and watered i decided to head on, still in two minds whether to aim for london salisbury or some other random place in between, with no map and only the sun for a guide i headed off and eventually ended up in salisbury having visited
a barrow
a white horse
woodhenge
and completeing the world heritage triumverate
stonehenge ( honest it is stonehenge ) couldn't be arsed to ride down the hill and back up again so got as close as i could with the zoom lens !
superb ride, superb company, thanks to yal for leading, skully for the reviving gin and ginger, and the fixed / single speeders for putting in an awesome effort
