Just a quick update on this.
I got the frame off from Mr Gumby and brought it to the, to me, the best person for the job: Mario Vaz.
I asked him to wet paint it wine red (he had a lovely Colnago in the oven when I went to his workshop and that frame had exactly the color I was after). He also got hold of all the correct decals, even the Holdsworthy one that was on the lower part of the seat tube.
He just called to let me know the frame is ready for pick up!!! I think I will go today as otherwise it'll have to wait until Monday and with the strike I might not be able to reach him!
