I wish people would shut up about that, it really does mean nothing.
Out of the 73 races Jim Clark entered he got pole 33 times. Hamilton has entered almost double the number of grand prix and got pole one more time. It's a bit like saying that brussel sprouts are twice as good as broccoli because they cost half as much, this is true but sprouts leave a bad taste in your mouth; somewhat like Hamilton's childish behaviour and "celebrity" lifestyle.
