Forgive me if this has been discussed somewhere else.
Basically I am trying to convert my Steamroller into disc forks, however with its 375mm fork length and 38mm rake it is hard to find disk forks with similar geometry.
The guy at Surly has been very helpful in answering my questions but his advice is aim for get within 2mm on rake and within 5-7mm on height so even Surly's own Long Haul Trucker disc forks are out of the question.
Just wondering if the geometry is really so sensitive, or is it more like a gradual change of handling characteristics, that is more a matter of preference and can be adapted to? Cheers!
