it doesn't actually say on their website but it's usually more than enough for me with various books, spare clothing, rubbish i bought off amazon. The inside is completely waterproof but i don't want to risk filling it with water to check the litrage..
If you don't roll it down and strap, you can have a bunch of stuff sticking out of the top, which won't spill out despite being across the back. Also brought a cx frame and forks home strapped to the back, using the compression straps on the bag and the velcro fold-over and it was stable. Air flows around and under the bag so you dont get too hot underneath. Outstanding bag.
