Thought that might be the case, cheers. I'll definitely steer clear of 10 speed then.
I popped into Condor this afternoon and saw those band on adaptors. The Shimano's were only available in black and the silver Condor own brand one was an inelegant looking thing considering the price. The one you linked to looks good.
If you've got one similar going that would be fab. I don't have a vernier gauge but I'm on a skinny steel frame. Vitus GTI tubes...triple butted. Although all skinny steel is gonna be pretty much the same right?
