Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried to UTFS with no success.
I have an 8 speed Shimano RSX100 group set which came with a braze-on type front mech, but I'll need to find a band on style one to fit my current frame.
Will any age Shimano front mech from 8,9,10 speed groupsets work? Am I right in thinking the distance between chainrings has never changed?
