Scrapper, can't wait to see it finished!
My feet and toes really hurt as well! And I'm too chicken to add anymore to it!

I was meant to have a tattoo last month on my birthday but I wasnt well, and havent got around to re-booking it for next month. Fail.

My toes hurt like buggery. Fortunately I just had a comedy slogan inked on 'em, but still, bloody nora.

TinyMissBecca's work is absolutely blowing me away atm. Really tempted to book in a chest piece, but I want to go to California this year too. Annoying.

I have a 3D implant but it wont show up and has been there since early 2009, so gunna have it taken out...
I have a scar below a microdermal piercing, (from where the implant was inserted) so may have some scarification done up seeing I scar well. Most likely to be going to Holierthanthou in Manchester as know one of the piercist there quite well.
I also got some niceeeee buffalo horn spirals for my ears for christmas.

Anyway I'll stop going offtopic from the tattoos.

Ha, I'm not THAT interested. I think tattoos are beautiful so I spend a lot of time researching mine. I don't think scarification is beautiful so I don't care too much about it aesthetically, but I do enjoy slicing people up. It's more of a technical interest. :D

I have ideas for my first tattoo and advice would be greatly appreciated. I am looking to get something along the lines of this on my ribs (this would be the image, not really the style, although saying that the style is pretty cool too):

In terms of the look I am really drawn to this style of illustration:

and

However, obviously it's quite fine, delicate lines, do you think this sort of thing will work for tattoos? Plus could it end up looking shit in time? If it is workable could anyone recommend someone who works in this style? Many thanks.

The other option would be to just go for an outline, sort of like this:

Dan in answer to your other question, I would say your best bet is to go work it out with your tattooist. No-one will have a better idea of what's workable than them. Take these pics and if they're good you can / should spend time sketching out exactly what you want after having an indepth chat with them.

As for whom, it's a good idea to find someone who specialises in line tattoos, and there have been some good suggestions above and throughout this thread, but do a lot of research, it's worth it!

And ribs... ouch.
