yeah with like 1/2cm offset or whatever.

probably harder than it looks as both will need to be pulled tight independently of eachother.

How you wrap around the lever makes my brain hurt, id like to try it on some track bars though, or maybe bullhorns.

Suppose you could do that with STI's too. Maybe.

When wrapping cork/gel tape on bars with STIs do you guys tend to use the short sections that are supplied for wrapping around the STI clamp?

I don't, find they make the tape too bulky, I have a method of weaving around the STI that negates it.

I use that little peice but cut it into 2 small pieces, theres usually a tiny gap when i do it so i just use it to cover that gap instead of the hole way around

I've done it with aero levers, but not STIs.

You find the preferred lever position, put the cable outer in place and secure it firmly with electrical tape or similar. Then it is important to mark the position of the lever clamps as there's nothing to hold them in place when you remove the lever assy and bolt. Put the bolt back without the lever to hold the clamp in place while wrapping. Now, the first wrap above the clamps should be under the cable outer(s) and then the rest will go over them. the bar tape will hold on to the lever clamps untill you have reinstalled the lever. You can still do minor adjustements to the position.
Until now I have always used the 2 small strips to avoid gaps, but from now on I will always do as above.
Hope it makes sense.

Thanks Apollo, one roll per side or one roll per set of bars?

one per side, maybe even two if the bars are fat, not compact and wider than 44cm

in which case the neatest place to switch is under lever hood

Grey and blue? Black and blue? Blue and yellow? Black and yellow? Grey and yellow? Black, grey and blue?

Tapes this one - http://www.dalescycles.com/cinelli-macro-bar-tape-p380

Just my opinion but I don't think harlequin looks good on modern bikes. How about fizik dual tape?

just 'roll' them off as opposed to twisting them.

be careful at the end and you can just unroll them.

I tend to stick a thin allen key down under the grips, the pour lighter fluid in the hole and twist the grips to get it to spread around and twist it off.

Taped with good technique from top down is fine. Riding in hoods you might find it less comfortable but it shouldn't fold.
I always do it on track drops given there are no hoods and I like to move my hands close to the stem where finishing tape would otherwise be, shit is uncomfortable and can sweat out adhesive.

Lizardskins are good but not that durable IMO. Giving them extra fix is a good idea as mine moved arouns a little, and they start to look pretty ragged after a while. Comfortable on your hands, but at £30+ not sure I'd buy them again
