To be fair, a lot of that shit happens in the TdF and that's been going for >100 years.

Look at that recent Tdf fairytale: Hoogerland, the car and the fence.

Ben Swift has crashed on a training ride and broken his shoulder! He could use the healing power of The Claw, methinks...

Jeremy Hunt has replaced him in the Giro - he's an old 'un who's going through a purple patch, isn't he? Good to see him getting a shout in the latter stages of his career.

Happy for Cav but it's getting boring now! Surely someone else can raise their game a bit... Saying that Thomas is a fucking great leadout for him too.

i would have liked to see where cav would have finished if he didnt get taken out. Seemed to be in a bad position and needed quite a bit just to get close to goss. But he seemed on such good form yesterday I wouldnt have been surprised if he edged it today

Wouldn't be surprised if that move was planned... Remember last year when an unimpressive Petacchi won the first sprint against Cav that way then had absolutely no penalty?

He came 2nd four times in the Tour of Turkey and Cav wasn't racing there. So it's nothing to do with the Manx Missile.

no i was talking about the important races that matter, but i suppose the turkey results just adds to the feeling that Goss isnt quite good enough

I think Cav would have had a tough time winning it if he hadn't been impeded. Sky were bossing it then Cav lost G's wheel a couple of corners to go, then the two Sky men where leading the train with Cav about five riders back, the twoof them looking around to see where he was and unsure what to do. Green Edge timed it perfectly, two of them surging through with Goss on their wheel. That said Cav was winding up and would have a got a decent placing to defend his Maglia Rosso. I doubt they will do anything about the Italian....in the Giro d'Italia. Although him and Finney crossed the line, both are going to be very sore.

Cam amyone see Geraint developing into a proper GC rider? His time-trialling has improved, he was excellent in Paris-Nice and Romandie as a lieutenant, great lead-out man yesterday, if he was to fully focus on the road (after the Olympics) and improve his climbing, could he be a contender?

Oh yes he won junior Paris-Roubaix too

looking at that picture, it's a credit to the bike-handling of the pros cav wasn't more seriously hurt. The team manager has apologised, the rider seems unrepentant:

Actually a poor translation from Italian, what he really said was 'it wasn't me, honest'
