Brilliant ride tonight thanks John and nice ride south with Vunugu and Palu after, (I swear Sutton gets further away every time). No brawls though. I feel left out.

@Tommmmmm... nice one today. Didn't realize you broke off with the north crew. The east ride back was shifting some too.

All got a bit fractious on the way back, but there were plenty of us so hopefully nobody ended up sleeping in a bus shelter. Good times, but the bleak sight on Chiswick High Road put a bit of a dampener on things for me.

Changed and chilled and off to a party.... WINNING!

nice ride everyone! thanks foremost to ma3k for leading us through this lfgss classic and thanks for all of you for making it this pleasant to ride along.

i was happy about the civilised yet swift pace, happy about so few (1?!) punctures and to meet some new folks and to be able to catch up with some i met before.

this was my first LFGSS ride.

totally enjoyed it.

i had an amazing playlist in the headphones, the route was fun and i loved the pace.

i'll do more, definitely.

Utterly hilarious.

The best part was the boss holding up a bus so that our ramshackle peloton could pass through part of the south bank.

The driver was apoplectic.

I thought the Chelsea tractor that could only just fit through the width restrictions was pretty funny too ;)

One of my favourite moments was watching someone help the local yoof who wheelied past adjust their brakes. Warmed the heart.

Saw that accident in Chiswick. Didn't know it involved a cyclist.

Eventually made it home.

Thanks for organising the ride John. It was a good pace and seemed to go faster than the others i'd been on. i look forward to doing another in warmer conditions.

I had a surprisingly nice ride home last night. Everybody sped of east and I enjoyed london at night. Even stopped to have a recovery Milkshake at Tinseltown. I got home for about 3am had a shower and then cycled to work in Chelmsford.

Not to be a bore, but the only thing that worried me slightly was the alcohol consumption. I understand it is a social ride and im not against people having a can or two/three but being visibly drunk (not being able to ride in a straight line) is not a good thing.

In my limited experience of watching work colleagues get so bladdered I wondered how they made it home on the train - which they did (invariably they lived outside London), I am now confident that some kind of 'homing pigeon' effect comes into operation for pedestrians and cyclists. Most of the time, anyway.

it's our drunk compass, allowing people to find their way home no matter how inebriated or lost they are. Seems to work especially well with cycling. I think it it helped by a lack of sense of time while in that state of mind, but it hasn't failed me yet.

Cracking ride. Enjoyed the fixie massive in terms of size and it had everything else necessary: wrecks, skitching, punctures, booze and speed (pace).

But it was mostly just a very fun social ride with good peeps that was well led and organised by MA3K. Big ups to Sweaty, Big Dave and Sonny for keeping it real out there.

Yep got home fine thanks guys. Maybe enjoyed myself a little too much towards the endm a bit reckless of me, dont want to do that again really

But then I never saw Max Crowe couriering.

Nobody did. Not even the companies he (allegedly) worked for.

I saw him once! Honestly, he was on his bike, cycling, near St. Pauls. But wasn't working that day, or something.

He had a radio that he used to switch off.

What's the point in halting your only means of achieving the numbers if you disregard the only means to get those numbers.

When I saw the damage to the bus I thought the worst(what with all the drunk cyclists bombing up and down).

Tragedy for the person involved indeed, but I am glad it wasn't one of us.

I saw Max in the city at least twice, at a time when I wasn't in the city very often, and yes, he was working. Lay off him.

The ride back home East drained what little energy I had remaining but nothing a dodgy kebab (and some lovely cleavage) couldn't fix. Nice to have met some new faces and to have caught up with some old ones.

What's even less cool is having a Doris like that poor bloke in Putney had!

I had little or no issue with Max, but if ever there was someone who needed a chilli in his arse it was him. The lad had NO motivation whatsoever.
