| | Nice Idea For some reason they only like you using all black tyres on the Manchester track, also I have spent so much money on tubs in the last few weeks I don't want to see another tyre, the sheriff wheels are the best built wheels I have ever seen tied and solder, but the guy I bought them off lent them to somebody who has used frigging brakes on the rims. |

| | Carlton by kingcutter That carlton is lovely kingcutter. It reminds me of a solid sterling silver Paul Smith fountain pen I used to have. Used to spend all my time keeping it clean! Now, where are you gonna find a suede/shammy-leather bike cover large enough! Lovely bike. |

| | Just built, and fitted, some new wheels to the commuter. SLX hubs laced to Halo ExciteR rims. Really decent wheelset for its use (commuting, shopping, nusery runetc). The Halo rims were really good to build with, having a bit of depth for stiffness, while still having eylets. Put some Bebop pedals on it too. Having ridden around with a skipping free-wheel, and busted pedals for a month. Its like having a new bike. |

| | I'll put a proper review in the 'list of clipless pedals' thread when I've put some more distance on them. I use this bike (not fixed) for all sorts of stuff, including trail riding, load carrying, and commuting. I'd like to see see how they function in these situations first. Absolutly loving them so far though. |

| | Benotto Modelo 24 Ragazzino Just picked up this cute little Benotto with 24" tubular wheels. Not the most beautiful Benotto ever, but as the previous owner of several 3000's, I couldn't resist this one. It's going to be either for one of my kids (age 6 and 8), or I'm going to offer it to someone else who has some road race ambitions. Heavy steel lugless welded frame, 46cm seat tube c-t and 46cm top tube c-t. Looks like early 1980's because of the colour and decals, shifter cable guide below BB-shell (just one for rear, single CR in the front), brazed on shifter boss on down tube, SR crank with marking "80". SunTour dropouts (rear GT) SR Silstar cranks, 152mm, 46T chain ring, 5 speed multiple freewheel, SunTour Volante rear mech, 36H Suzue hubs, Benotto labeled sprint rims 24", Vittoria Junior 24" tubulars (not original), alu drop bars 32cm (!) c-c with 14cm drop, alu quill stem 6cm with Benotto marking, MKS cage pedals with very small Christophe size D (?) toeclips, Shmn 105 Dual Pivot brakes with SunTour Olé aero levers (both not original). Must do: - clean and grease up - remove rust - true and tension wheels/spokes - glue saddle cover - other brake levers, short reach - other brakes (optional, silver looks much better) - blue cables - bar tape (Benotto blue?) - chain and MF (optional) - heat set (optional) - pedals (optional) - new saddle, Concor junior (optional) - indexed shifting or SS (optional) - rear tubular colour tan/black, glue both tubulars Hmmmmm, in the end it will cost more than I want... | | All those Vigorelli make me want to get one. The Benotto look wonderful, wish I had this bike when I was a kids. Got a frame, an Ernie Clements that's just right for the bike I want to build, 700c but enough clearance for 30c tyres + 45c mudguard, 57ST/56TT, and butted 531; http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...g?t=1281046899 http://www.blackbirdsf.org/courierra...orteur1949.jpg Last edited by edscoble; 5th August 2010 at 23:35. |

| | I've got to say nice job ed, that looks cracking, I'm seriously considering building something like this for myself. If I did thats exactly how I'd want it to look. My only problem is being 6'4", so frames tend to look rather ugly in my size, i might suffer a 23" just because it looks nicer |
