Fixed/free
I took it for a spin on the fixed side last night to test it out after the (awful) zlda straps arrived.
Liz will probably ride it free for the time being at least although the comment 'It's just like spin class but in traffic' implies she'll be fixie skidding with the best of us soon enough.

Shit quality velcro strips that don't hold very well, after some adjusting i managed to get the damn things to stay popped up(initially took about 200m to get my 2nd foot in). Maybe they just need breaking in a bit to get the shape right. The cordura used on the wide strap is off piss poor quality.
Just feel cheap all over, poor imitation of jols product. Bought as a stop gap til my gurneys eventually arrive and so Liz could try foot retention while still being able to ride in ridiculous shoes on kids pedals ;)
That said, the free stickers were nice.

Just kill it, but just if you are sure that it fits the rider with the saddle in the right position. Why spending time, energy and money on a bike that doesn't fit well (and always looks poor) ?
I suggest (what I would do, but you can follow your own ideas) to change the colour scheme: mainly white with pink (or red) accents (tyres or rims, grips, saddle, decals, ...).
In future I will do the same with a mixte frame for my wife, but first I need a nice frame in the right size and a Selle Italia Lady saddle with roses design.

Personally i think that looks almost ready to go. I wouldnt bother repainting it as the paintjob looks in pretty good nick, just replace the saddle, put some nice sweeping bars on it, remove those hideous lights, tidy up the cable routing and possibly replace the mudguards and your good to go (depending on condition of the wheels/cranks etc of course)

Not sure it needs a paintjob or new decals? Contact points will all get revamp for sure.

Yeah, that's kinda my thinking. Rear wheel is a 3 speed dyno-hub thingy, heavy as owt, so that'd get swapped out also, might be collectable and sellable with the lights?

I´m on the same boat with the Carlton. 27" rims don´t come abundant anymore, manage to track down some rigida NOS for chips, so now I´m sorted. (I posted some 27" SUN rims a few pages back, don´t think they´re worth it). If I could get my hands on some 40h NOS track hubs I would get tandem 27"s, but thats rarer than rocking horseshit.

I've got a set of record hubs 40/32h the rear is built into a MA40 rim that was NOS when built and has never been ridden the 32h is yet to be built but I have a open 4cd tim that was NOS that is waiting to go on it (this now has a scuff on the top of the side wall from some idiot where I used to work).
Both hubs are in very good condition.
I could be tempted to sell these.
