| | The guy waited around when the ambulance was there but went off before the policeman could find out who caused the accident, I know what car it is but no numberplate. Policeman is gonna look at cameras and stuff and phone me tomorrow evening. If he doesn't have any results I'm going hunting in the area I think the car came from. If I do find him, I'll pushing for a new bike, some legwarmers and probably something to cover me while I can't work as my wrist is knackered. I have BC gold membership so I have them to rely on when it all gets a bit legal. |

| | There is a thread on this stuff (and advice on the CTC site I think). Getting access to CCTV (for his plate) can be time critical so don't let the po po fuck it up on your behalf. Good luck. Last edited by miro_o; 22nd April 2012 at 15:37. Reason: found the thread |

| | Afaik, yes as you have to leave your details. ^^ my initial response was to get off the road in case something else came along and hit me while I was lying there. Not always the best idea after bashing your head. There were other people there making sure I was ok. I didn't get any witnesses or anything useful though which is quite annoying now I look back on it. |

| | Parts assembled in readiness for my black HHSB low-pro to be built. Silver Sugino 75 cranks and chainring and an EAI or phil sprocket to finish it off, but haven't decided on gearing yet. Highly likely that a HED3 will also make it's way onto the final build :) http://www.lfgss.com/attachment.php?...1&d=1335117484 |

| | I actually kinda like it. Needs a front brake (hopefully I'll get one on tuesday), and at some point I may rejig my gear ratios, but it works really well, once you've gotten used to coaster braking, and remember to change gear after you've braked (assuming you still want the same gear at set off). And you need to make sure you've set your pedals as you want them to set off, because you can't spin 'em back. I'm still trying to work out if I want foot retention also. Bought a new saddle for it today- excited about that. |

I wouldn't bother with foot retention. When I was running a coaster on my beater half the time I left the straps hanging. You're never really (imo) going to need to be cranking your feet up if you're riding a bike with a coaster. For me it's all about relaxing/lazyness. I remember when I went on my road bike after commuting all week on a coaster being quite put out by having to use my fingers to brake. | |
