All this might be true, if you were my granny and you normally took three an a half hours to ride 25 miles.
1hr 20 saving on 25 miles, ought to mean that you're doing time travel not time trialling.

Nearly there with my commuter. Following 2 crashes, 2 totaled bikes and unrelated ankle surgery, I'm almost back on my bike.

Here's how I got it..

Here's how it is as of last night..

Bars, seat and crank are salvaged from my last Raleigh,
Back wheel was kindly put together by Dale
Front wheel by me.

Need to get the chain on and I'm away. Paint needs a few bit's of touching up but it's going to be fine to get me to work and back.

no point having strong wheels, when the frames that are built like that flex like a mofo.

Going to make for an interesting build! 700c front and rear as I expected, but 130mm rear spacing. Means I may do MTB disk hubs with a bolt on sprocket or something. Hmmm.... any other suggestions?

space the hub out - easy. plenty of hubs can be spaced to 130mm. is it steel?

On-One do 130mm and 135mm double fixed hubs for less than 30 notes.

Not the best hubs in the world but will save all the spacing malarky.

Finished my first build the weekend just gone, with the help of BLB and a few forum members :)

Got it for £36 quid on ebay just before xmas, when she looked like this:

Now she looks like this:

Not quite finished, but as far as the funds allow it to go at the moment. (Sorry about the crappy yellowey phone picture).

You realise how much of a bargain you got?

I know Lee cooper charges £70 for track ends, that plus paintjob mustve been a pretty penny.

Looks superb though.
