West 38 St in Austin, Texas. I looked at an apartment there once, really wanted to get it just for the address...

Wanless Road always makes me giggle....

Rue des Mauvais Garcons in the gay quarter of Paris also.

The Ha-Ha one is probably named after or on the site of a Ha-Ha http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ha-ha

I like Neckinger street near our offices in bermondsey
Also like 'Of Alley' which was so named after George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham. So there's Villiers Street, George Court, Duke Street, and Buckingham Street and Of Alley.

I always liked riding up Carsick Hill Rd. in Sheffield.

Nearby Carsick View Rd. is pretty good too.

This road is in Sheffield and the picture shows the local police headquarters.

I also like this one from Northleach in Gloucestershire

That one's actually just called 'Neckinger' no street/lane etc. After the old river which used to run nearby - there's the Neckinger Mill just around the corner (now flats/offices I think). I go down it sometimes on my way home.

How did I miss this…

Bird in Bush rd
Donkey Alley
King’s Bench Street
Wild’s rents
White’s grounds
Stories Rd
Love lane

One of the best parts about navigating in London (IMHO) is the history associated with the street names. Obviously most of that is lost now, but it’s some consolation on Old Kent Road, Great Dover street etc, which were once the beginnings of epic horse and cart treks out of London into the dirty south. And there is still a small fragment of Watling street left :)

Most of London’s alleys have fantastic names as has been pointed out…

I had a customer at work once with an address in Carsick View Road. In the same week we also had someone who lived in Mauldeth Road, Manchester. I guess they must breed dangerous dogs there.

Manchester's gay area is centred around this street*

*Formally Canal Street

Some one also proposed that a street in Sheffield which had a police station at the end of it be called Letsby Avenue

Sluts Hole Lane in Besthorpe, Norfolk, survived a residents' petition for a change last year. Historically unsmutty, it comes from the Dutch word for sluice, used in draining the fens.

Had a picture somewhere can't find it now.

Police station near my old place is on Keystone Road. 55.935906,-4.316393

Skinner close in Crawley had a similar petition ages ago, presumably led by the residents at number 4...

EDIT: it seems they were successful, it's gone from Maidenbower...
