My TT rig

not sure I should do this as no doubt there'll be heaps and heaps of critiscm, after all it ain't steel, ain't old, cost a fair wedge and is very single minded and the photo backdrop is a cliche.. but it goes very fast and i like it.

I posted my 10spd S-Works on here and fair play it copped shit. At least your weapon is fixed! :D
That looks "fully sick mate". What gear are you running? Do TT's over here offer special prizes for fixed or something coz there seem to be loads of fixed riders in the ones I've done. Oh and how much?

No, I was returning a hire van. A white one no less. Needless to say I took my chance to see the other side of he fence and scare a few cyclists. Fuckers the lot of them, they get right in your way. There's not much else to do but hit them with the wing mirror.

gear varies between 55x17 to 55x15 much of time, 55x17 for hilly "sporting" TTs, 55x15 or occasionally 14 for the flatter faster courses. Kind of based on the cadence I know I can cope with from 20-40mph really, 20mph uphill, 40+ downhills...

I suppose the bike's weight makes some difference, and the fact you must have legs like telegraph poles and mad fitness

umm, prizes no different, i.e no separate class but TT'ing is not as much fun as road racing so doing it fixed kind of adds to the fun... in a peculiarly masochistic kind of way. as for how much, never really added it up, it sort of 'evolved' but it'll be around £3K I guess...

weight doesn't really make it easier, stiffness does though, it is very stiff and the drivetrain is very efficient. I'm a bit of an engineer geek I suppose so it has a Sugino Superlap BB, DID chain and EAI Superstar sprockets which combined make the smoothest, free-est running drivetrain I could achieve.

It's great when I'm on form and having a good day, wind it right up and enjoy the rumble of the wheels...

Direct from HED in the UK, the rear was a special, built onto a Royce track hub for me, that took 10 days or so 'cos the hubs are made to order and they had to order in the bladed spokes from the right length... The front was off the shelf, had it within 24hrs of ordering. They're a helpful bunch.

I think it's a pity the logos on the wheels are so big... plain black with a small white logo would have been so much cleaner.
