Pull up bars in parks

I am wondering if anyone knows parks that have pull up bars etc?
Preferably around SE15?

I started doing pull ups a couple of weeks ago, now up to 6 or so full ones.
Next goal should be a muscle up.

Just that I have no room in my flat where I can install a bar :(

No, this definitely deserves it's own thread ;)

Pretty sure there's some in Dulwich park.
Or use a tree branch.

jaw: I usually read my subscriptions and then on and off I check for new ones, but yeah ... if there are new forum rules, what are they and where can I read them? I did a search for pull ups ... anyway, always great to have someone help out and police other peoples posts :)

Rule No. 1.
Don't be so touchy.

Rule No. 2 Winkey face = jokey / light hearted post

And I know you've been round here long enough to know that starting new threads for not terribly relevant and seemingly pointless stuff doesn't go down well.
And it's not even in Misc. and Meaningless.

It's moderated to keep the bandwidth down, in case you didn't know.
That's why there's a thread like 'Any question answered.

sighs.

If I post in another thread it means that people cannot ignore my posts about something that might not be relevant to them that well ... if you never reply or even open a thread, the noise level is less than if I slap a reply in someone else's posts. At least for people that read subscribed ones.

Anyway, I'm all for witty banter and trying to establish who's the longest serving forumite, but what eats more bandwidth, leaving replies about where one should post instead or just shut up if that's the only thing one has to say?

Ha, that pic is legend ... saw that in the original article.
Will stay clear of bench presses though.

Some quite different inspiration:

Love the stuff they do, even though the whole noise they make about it is somewhat disturbing.

People not interested in random stuff won't be perusing the 'AQA' thread.
If people posted new threads for each random question they had, this forum would be a mess.

Don't post a new thread in the first place...
I answered your question also so would have replied anyway.

I'm not in competition about this, I just mentioned that you weren't a noob so should know the score.

One of us has donated to the forum bandwidth, justsayin'.

pascalo, it was light hearted and afaik if it's miscellaneous it should be posted there.
If it doesn't warrant it's own thread post it in the any question answered one, tends to work well of late.

There's this clip on youtube of a guy doing something like 60 pull ups in 2 minutes if I remember correctly.

Burgess park (about 1/2 way along Albaney Road side) has some IIRC - do try not to get stabbed though

jaw, wiksie, I am a bit grumpy today, I am sorry.

Got a link to that video? 60 pull ups in 2 mins sounds mad.

Yes, it is the wrong category, and no, I don't have a star behind my name ... But yeah, I don't like the catch-all threads ... they tend to mess up subscribe/unsubscribe. I also don't like that in forums people feel like they should tell everyone how it's done after while, and I was misinterpreting your posts for that ... grumpy, as I say.

Can I get a hug now?

So far we have Kennington Pk, Dulwich Pk, Browckwell Pk and Brugess Pk. Haven';t seen them in Burgess Park ever, even though I come through there quite a bit. Are they somewhat tucked away?

I think they might be in that kind of enclosed bit in the middle of the Rye?

Might make some custard to make up for the lack of chocolate.

Yeah, fairly new. Saw it on the news a few months ago. There's also a japenes garden and a formal (sexby) garden which i've never been to. Must go to peckham rye more often. I just usually end up in the clockhouse pub if i ever go near there

Peckham Rye is awesome, apart from it being in Peckham. It's steeped in history and the garden is really nice. Mostly it's proximity to the clockhouse is a win for sure.

Chocolate custard ftw Pascalo!

getting in trouble for starting a new thread is funny.
there is a running thread and a walking thread I think it's fair to have a pullups thread. i know this wasnt an official pullup thread just a where can i do pullups thread.

so if we want to keep bandwidth low should we not close and delete old threads once the questions were answered? or are they just there for archival purposes to bring up during popcorn arguments?

I have never been in Burgess Park so happy to defer to your judgement, but I do cycle down Albany Road relatively often on my way out to Richmond and beyond.
