| | Police Auction - cheap bikes/frames? There's a Police auction at Biddle & Webb's Ladywood auction house next Tuesday. You need to register with B&W before you go, don't expect too much, probably mainly BSOs/full-sus Argos bikes but who knows... might be a decent frame amongst it. http://www.west-midlands.police.uk/p...tion/index.asp |

| | Auctions are a bloody waste of time. I used to go occassionally when it happened on moseley road. It was easy to go and quickly view the stash of bikes. Been to the one at biddle & webb once, people were paying double-triple what most things were even worth second hand. You have to buy a bidding number/catalouge & pay a fuckload of tax & commision on everything. If you want a punt I thoroughly recommend just leaving a comission bid. If you spot some good shit one week, buy your bidding number, leave a bid on a handful of stuff. Auctioneer will then bid for you like Ebay and contact you afterwards. The antiques & art can be quite interesting to just go and view sometimes. |
