There've been loads of designs connecting 2 circular discs for human pedalled travelling. My vote for best/most interesting design goes to the Pedersen. A fully suspended frame, way ahead of its time.

What's your favourite cycle design?

My sister in law in DK has one of those, its rather weird to drive not at all unpleasant but strangely strange.
Doesn't stop me wanting it though...

Norman Foster loves his Moulton by all accounts...

They remind me of the Eames Eiffel Wire Chair

She who must be adored has a brompton (which she loves) and which I hate, I only borrow it in desperate circumstances where I need to take the bike with me in a truck or on the train. It feels all squishy plus the small wheels make me feel like a hamster on acid.

Anyone ridden both a moulton and a brompton care to offer their opinions?

A friend in DK had one of these, he loved it, I was and am a wee bit more sceptical (It pedals, but is it a bike?), he does have a nice moulton though...

Don't they cost a fortune? I think I remember seeing some in Velorution or whatever its called and getting the sweats when I saw the price tag. That floating seat design makes me a little seasick just looking at it.

There's a guy who comes in my local in Chester occasionally who rides a yellow Pedersen - tweeded up in plus-fours like an Edwardian gentleman...
