| | Is this going to be a native app? Won't that cause problems getting it onto people phones? (you'd have to go through the apple app approval process). Just doing a web app might be the better option. Would make it easier to be cross platform compatible to other devices. You can tweak and add features with out having to go through the approval process for each release etc etc |

| | No need to submit to appstore, just build to device UUID, having said that a web app would be easier/better/more convenient/etc. After all it's going to be a connecting to a web server anyway, no? If you do decide to go this route (and the php one aswell), I've got a nice lightweight CodeIgniter REST library up for donation. |

| | Yep, it's going to be a native app, but it will be free via the app store once it's gone through approval, but prior to that will have to built with UUIDs for each phone (I think). It's all part of an R&D project at work, with a view to doing iPhone and iPad dev. Doing it web based means it wont save teams/players/game settings, this way using the Core Data model, it's pretty straight forward. For the final product with a server etc, there could also be a web based version, but that's for later. |
