Raleigh 501 aero bike, Soens track, Faggin, Carlton, Gazelle, Holdsworth Cyclone etc

Hi everyone,
I’ve just sorted out a ratherr rare and wonderful bike and some more frames including a very cool Soens track. Shipping on frames within the UK will be £11 - other items can ship free of charge in the same box. I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.

ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL

Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…

If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me.

Viewing/Personal collection is welcome as quite a few have found and have been able to get other parts they are looking for at the same time.

Hilary Stone

SOENS TRACK FRAME c1969 Prugnat single point lugs
Seat Tube (ctt): 52cm (20.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 50cm (20in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 700C
Bottom bracket threads: British
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Soens shop was in Liverpool and the frames were always rather nice. This one is no exception - a small track frame with tight clearances. This frame will have toeclip overlap. The fork is not drilled for a brake. The paint is in very sound useable condition with no obtrusive marks. £225 SOLD

RALEIGH PANASONIC TEAM Reynolds 501 Aero tubing
Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C
Bottom bracket threads: British
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 501 butted aero tubing
This is really a rather rare model in the stunningly nice Team Panasonic colours - its built from Reynolds 501 aero shaped tubing - something I’ve not seen before. Its been very lightly used and is completely original including the pedals and saddle. £125 SOLD

CARLTON ROAD FRAME 1960s/70s
Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27in or 700C (brake drop 65mm)
Seatpost size: 25.4mm
A very sound budget road frame from the 1960s or 70s which will make a very easy conversion. £39 reduced to £33

CLARKS OF HARROW ROAD FRAME 1960s
Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 48mm)
Bottom bracket threads: British
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is a really nice late 50s/early 60s road frame almost certainly built by Wally Green; its typical of Wally Green’s work. There are some details on Wally Green at http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk...allygreen.html and http://www.classicrendezvous.com/Bri...es/Green_W.htm The original paint and decals are in very useable condition with only a small number of not very obvious marks. £89

FAGGIN ROAD FRAME 1980s Columbus SL
Seat Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 44mm)
Bottom bracket threads: Italian
Frame Tubing: Columbus SL?
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Offered here is a Faggin road frame frame which has been repainted and had its lugs chromed - not especially well. It dates I think from around 1983 and judging by the seatpost size is built from Columbus SL tubing... Powder coated nicely this will be one stunning frame with the lovely F cutouts in all the lugs and name engraved in the fork crown. £95 SOLD

GAZELLE ROAD FRAME 1980s Reynolds 531C
Seat Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C
Bottom bracket threads: British
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Offered here is a Gazelle road frame from the early 1990s I think which has been powdercoated in baby blue. Its barely been used since. I am not certain which model it is but its certainly built from 531C tubing... It would make a excellent and easy conversion. £85 SOLD

HOLDSWORTH CYCLONE 1949 Gorgeous intricate lugs
Seat Tube (ctt): 60cm (23.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
Rear dropout width: 116mm
Wheel size: 27in or 700C (brake drop 57mm)
Bottom bracket threads: British
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is a very beautiful Holdsworth Cyclone from around 1949 which has been nicely repainted and fitted with the correct decals. Its hardly been used since so the paint is excellent. The Cyclone was one of Holdsworth’s first models with really intricate hand cut lugs. It is truly stunning. £195 SOLD

RALEIGH RECORD c1989
Seat Tube (ctt): 62cm (24.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 57mm)
Bottom bracket threads: British
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 501 frame, 531 forks
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Very large frames are not very common. This Raleigh Record is in excellent condition - I have added a pair of Reynolds 531 forks. The right-hand shifter braze-on has been taken off. The right hand rear dropout is easily filed to match the LH one and then would make an easy fixed/singlespeed conversion. £69 Reduced to £59

ROAD FRAME 1980s Most likely Reynolds 531C
Seat Tube (ctc): 59cm (23.25in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 50mm)
Bottom bracket threads: British
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted?
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is a really rather nicely built road frame which has ben painted in Look Team colours - sort of... It carries a Reynolds 531C decal which I think is almost certainly correct as it takes a 27.2mm seatpost and feels to be about the correct weight. The seat tube has a small crimp from an overtightened front derailleur clamp. The BB is not included with the frame. It would make an easy fixed/singlespeed conversion. £59 SOLD
