Swinnerton low low pro F/F with extras

Swinnerton low pro aero tt frame and forks.
It's too small for me so here goes.
Top tube ctc 58 cm
Seat tube ctt 56 cm
Canti brakes fittings
Reynolds 531c
Mono seat stay
Rear spacing 130 mm
Very low handlebar fitting but a normal stem can be used. I will need a respray at some point, it has got spots of rust here and there but it's only cosmetic. The deal will come with a 3ttt track stem, Cinelli criterium bars and a 650c front wheel. The bars are scratched and the stem is by no means mint. The wheel has a Campagnolo Record hub and a Wolber Profil tub rim.

Well you couldn't put a normal brake on the front could you?... I suppose they just matched up the back

Blimey, I wouldn't touch the front brake with that set-up.

Never seen one like that before.

Are we sure that fork was built for 650c? Look at the height of the canti studs - right alongside the rim. Especially obvious when compared with the rear.

Those frames were meant for an aero bar like the upside down cut off drop sort they were never used with drops like that .I saw one used in the Planet x retro event on the u46/10 course last year and I think MDCC is right looks like a 700c should be in there.I have seen canti's used before on tt bikes no reason why they should't be used after all

Your right, I tried a 700c with a 23 tyre but there was no clearance. It must take a 700c with a 20 tyre.

Given the era, it was probably built to be tight with an 18-19mm tubular. That's how we rolled back in the day.

Thanks for the info. I'll have a rethink.

Didn't need the big drop of those bars, it would have been a chopped and flopped Cinelli 66 or similar. Purpose built bullhorns didn't arrive for another couple of years after the heyday of crown mounted bars, by which time we were on 26" front wheels and conventional stems.
