I haven't got muddy on an MTB for years, and have it on good authority that the Thetford courses are a good do.

Ha, you shouldv'e called! I got the day off last minute too. I drove out to Thetford and hit the trails for three hours - only saw one other rider. Lovely.

Ok. My homie Dom and I went out and hit thw trail (but not as the map said as we didn't have time). We did 35 miles. Rode whitlingham lane, through the back roads to Loddon for a beer and biff break. A bit of food and a good laugh later we hit the trail around the other side of the A146. We went off road and cut over some fields. Interupted about 10 old cu!t farmers from having a shoot. The old coots looked well fucked off with us. We cut through around Thurton, then to Burgh Apton, then Poringland. From Poringland back to Bramerton, then through to Trowse and back. My GPS said 34 miles... Cheers Dom. Was good to have a long running cunt out to play. Hope work wasn't too bad.

Work was OK today, but would rather have been riding. Friday?

Haha. When it came down big style last night, I headed out at moidnight. Thick snow. Bombed around the city centre and rode all out alleycat style, skidding round corners, sliding and slipping. Was awesome.

I'm praying that the snow will either clear or come down in fresh buckets. Either way I can go for a nice long spin. Even if this ice crap stays I can put in some offroad miles, but I'd rather head to the coast.

got the day off friday, definitely up for a ride.

had a proper mental crash yesterday along pottergate. didnt notice the ice and my front wheel went from underneath me, going nearly top speed. slid for ages straight into a bollard. managed to move my body out the way but it hit me in the shoulder! all fine just a puncture and bruised leg.
