Building a Carbon/Bamboo Frame

Hi guys, thought some folks might be interested in this article, he doesn't go over each step in massive detail, but it's good to know it can be done (with patience) cheaply and in your own home.

A vacuum press would be a welcome addition to any tool shop. I know that some of the marine supply houses sell prepreg CF in appropriate weaves and weights, though I'm pretty sure that stuff is heat-activated.

good post!

and yes prepreg is heat activated, you need to store it in a chiller.

I'm curently involved in the design and development of a carbon frame, this is good food for thought thanks.
