| | 5 speed freewheel & chain recommendations? Hi, Firstly I don't think this has been covered here before I did utfs... but I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong. Secondly sorry that this relates to a geared bike, but I'm sure some of you will just be itching to help me out all the same... I am doing up a 70s bike, and looking for a 5 speed freewheel (rear OLD is 120mm). SJS has this selection - http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/category-...5-Speed-77.htm - Which I'm not that impressed with, I'm going to try and source an IRD Defiant instead - http://store.interlocracing.com/fr76and5sp.html - Does anyone have any pointers to UK stockists? Also I need to find a decent chain to match. Internet search revealed that a SRAM PC 830 would be a good option for an older chain replacement. If possible I'd like something a bit prettier, maybe Nickel plated. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |
