You'd be the fifth person. How many people does it take to get discounts on the eurostar?

Maybe. Depends on what my boss is doing. She's always busy so maybe today, or maybe tomorrow.

Todd, 56 is the one-way price, ie £112 return. Which is still probably cheaper than plane.

You can save 20 quid if you don't book the entire journey with rail europe. Eurostar to paris, and then either raileurope or TGV to karlsruhe (same price more or less).

Yeah that's what I meant. I think that's worth it over the plane / getting to airport etc.

What I'm thinking:
Out:
LONDON ST-PANCRAS - 04/02/10 06:02 PARIS NORD - 04/02/10 09:54
PARIS EST - 04/02/10 11:24 KARLSRUHE HBF - 04/02/10 14:25

In:
KARLSRUHE HBF - 08/02/10 07:31 PARIS EST - 08/02/10 10:34
PARIS NORD - 08/02/10 12:13 LONDON ST-PANCRAS - 08/02/10 13:28
There's an £8 booking fee.

What's that cost todd?

here's what I've got:

out:
08:02 - London St Pancras 11:17 - Paris Nord
PARIS EST - 04/02/10 15:24 KARLSRUHE HBF - 04/02/10 18:25

back
KARLSRUHE HBF - 08/02/10 13:31 PARIS EST - 08/02/10 16:34
17:13 - Paris Nord 18:29 - London St Pancras

There's a long stop over in paris (4 hours) on the way there.

Total cost is 122 pounds each.

I was getting 56 Euro return for the Paris - Karls bit, and 59GBP for eurostar. And no 4 hour lay-over either. London depart 06whatever, gets in 0954, leave paris est 1124.

Pretty sure that you can collect the TGV tix at the station in Paris, rather than get them posted.

paris est - 08/02/10 16:34

paris nord - 08/02/10 18:13
