Sorry to hear about it fella, Just to add insult to injury - can I ask if the bike was good before it was pilfered? I am thinking about buying one, surprisingly for track racing!

Yeah mate, I know. Getting the insurance on the case and obviously the Police are involved too. Hopefully will be back up and riding again soon though... Brilliant bike for the money. I would recommend replacing the bars, wheels and seat to start with though.

In January Ash my housemate got his nice silvery Marin filched outside cinema city. The next day he trawled cash converters, secondhandland etc with his steeds particulars and managed to reclaim his bike from the plods a few weeks later. Morning after the theft the malfaiteur in question turned up at secondhandland with the Marin, the staff called the squealers trying to keep him talking untill they arrived.Alas his nose must have smelt something offside for he bolted, just before the enforcement were ready to pounce.

Ok. Anyone got a chainring and bolds, some pedals a chain or anything else that they can loan me whilst I wait for my insurance claim. Would be greatly appreciated. I got just about everything else to make a fixed project.

You got the chainset from my Claud, right? I have a pair of cheap MTB pedals with straps you can borrow. Also got a rusty old length of chain off the CB which has come off that chainring, so will match the wear. That could get you going. Can lend you an old saddle too, and that 27" front wheel.

You can have all the bits off the Holdsworth dude, I'm not using them. Only thing I haven't got is pedals. Gimme a ring if you want to pop round and pick stuff up.

Dan that would be awesome if that's ok. Just to get me going for a week or 3 whilst I wait for the insurers. And Sparky, the pedals will be greatly appreciated...

Hey dude that's really nice. For free? The only thing I really need is the chainring bolts. If you PM me your address, I will send a SAE. Would be well appreciated.

To all you guys who are thinking about me, I love y'all.
To the lil cunt who took the bike, I am sharpening my cleaver as I type.

This is what i want now...

Under £500 from Evans cycles... An ideal building block> Will never be the same but hey, lets wait and see.

Alternatively another Fuji will do fine. Quite like the Bianchis too... Nice looking, but a bit too Italian for my liking/style. Nice though...

No, that looks shit. You're just going to replace all the parts, why not just get a frame? Steamroller, 235 off the bay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Surly-Steamrol...e#ht_648wt_939

Looks a bit shit but its got better stuff than the fuji track. Similar price. Would only need to change a few bits any way.

Steamrollers are solid, but once you start with a bare frame and start building you'll go well over budget. That doesn't even include a BB or headset. Nice frames, mind you.

Ok. My mate owns a store in the city and has offered me a SE Draft Light for a fucking good price as he hasn't had any interest in it for a year.

Got a buyer lined up for it if the insurance pull through... Got barspin geometry too.

Nothing special but I got something to get me around permanently. I am now a little bit happy. Still gonna buy a complete when the insurance comes through, as its just easy and a great initial building block.
