Players

Teams will consist of 3 players.
During a match, equipment can be substituted but not players.
Offensive team refers to the team that possesses the ball in their opponent’s half of the court, including any players defending their half of the court while the ball is in their opponent’s half of the court. Whichever may be the appropriate case.
Defensive team refers to the team that does not posses the ball or defends the goal while the ball is in their half of the court. Whichever may be the appropriate case.

yeah, how can one rule be enforced when another is being blatantly broken? (doesn't bother me either way, they can have eleven players if they want).

Not sure what rule is being broken here. ZU have agreed informally that they will select their team from 4 players. As long as none of them play for any other team during the league, I don't see what the problem is.

Well the problem being that Zombie have two really good players nobody else can use.

Brian - no. (i have a happy convenient arrangement with zombie to play for them when i'm in the country and when they need me, and will not sub for anybody else. This is my decision.)

The line from the rules that you are referring to defines how many players in a game - ie you cannot have more than 3 players on a team during game-play. The league rules clearly and unequivocally make provisions for subs, and that those subs can not be from other league teams, but there are no other conditions. Are you suggesting that we compel Brian or Hassan to play for another team?
