| | http://www.londonbikepololeague.com/fixtures/ There's now a calendar. I've added all the people I know who have gmail accounts. If you want access to it (there should be at least one person from every team, I reckon), let me know what your email address is so you can update/add your fixtures. |

| | So just got back home...epic fixture for us drawing Cosmic. The first game was a bit slow to start with as we started without playing any throwins. But the game started and we drew first blood. Then it was constant to and throwing of goals at either end each time with us taking the lead. We were scoring lots of funny deflections...then time was called and we had found ourselves in the lead woop! I think the score ended 4-3 to us. Then a quick 5mins... And back on court we swapped ends and 321 polo... I think again jono scored the first goal and this like the 3rd game was lots of midcourt and defensive play from us. We were hoping to catch the cosmic boys on the break but we eventually got caught out by some awesome shooting by tom and a bit of a lack of focus from me (whoop, apart from a sneaky goal past MAT.). Final score in game 2 was 4-2? and game 3 was 4-2?? rik/mark will put up the proper scores. Anyway we had a great time and glad the game started and finished with a happy performance by both teams. Roll on the next one!!! R |

| | Cosmic top of the league, but only just! Wasn't easy against WONA. Think both teams had a touch of 1st games jitters, but once things settled down some good play was done. Cheers WONA - def a team to watch out for. Horatio, will you post a brief match report on the league blog? Can't wait for the next match draw. The leagues only gonna get more fun! |

| | Oops started writing my post before rays, then went to make a tea before submitting! Ray agree with the feelings of the game, we should have had some throw in games to get warmed up. That 1st game was hard to play straight up. But ray you got the scores all wrong, Todd had them correct. All good fun though. Leagues def gonna be hard work though. Every games gonna feel like final. Will be hard to step up each week. Gonna be some interesting results - some surprises! Ohh and ray, that goal...it was a one off gift. Well I blame yorgo of course! |

| | My hub seized up on the way in this morning. Borrowed tools from Half Pipe (Ladbroke Grove - thanks!) and got it going again. Bearings are pretty wrecked though and it's just a question of when it stops rolling again rather than if. Just called Cycle Surgery in Camden (at work all day now) and they have no cartridge bearings - anyone got any idea where I might be able to get some from around Camden? Or does anyone coming to cheer Los Conos have any or would be able to get any? |

| | Great games last night, WONA and Cosmic. It all felt a bit chaotic and confused in that first game and WONA definitely deserved the 3-2 win. First half of the second game also belonged to WONA, but Cosmic finally hit their stride and managed to get 4 goals before time. Final game finished right on the buzzer with Todd scoring a beaut to make it 5-1. Watch out for WONA. They're already very good, but over the course of this league I reckon they are going improve dramatically, and do some giant killing in the process. Did I mention I love the league?! |
