Noob cyclist gets roped into brighton charity run shocker

I may have been a twat.

Got ell excited telling my mate about how much fun i was having riding a bike for the first time in 16+ years and got invited to do a charity london to brighton run.

Heres the schoolboy error - i didnt tell him to fuck off - and so on the 19th september with a whole 3 weeks of mmmn, not much, riding under my belt i will be off.

Should anyone feel like sponsoring this voyage of ass pain discovery that would be delightful!

i swear i will HTFU (maybe) - after all its for the children ;)

Well done for getting on your bike and a ride to Brighton for a good cause will give you an incentive to go further. Train for it and once you have done it, you will appreciate that a ride to Brighton is not a herculean task. If you have enjoyed the training and the ride itself, find another more challenging target and train for that and so on.

You will find that non cycling friends will be more receptive to your requests for sponsorship. They will be impressed by the feat.

You'll be fine, take some food and water and make sure you're as comfy as you can be take it easy and you'll arrive with a thirst for beer.

Unless you're riding to Brighton from somewhere like Glasgow, you'll be absolutely fine. Check out the Overnight to Brighton Take 3 thread OP for a good route:

http://www.londonfgss.com/thread24819.html

There are of course many others available.
