Check this thread on wednesdays - when the weather's good they play here and when it's not so good they play in a car park in Peckham which i don't have the right link for ... sorry. Or, if you're in North/East London on another day, check the threads and follow your nose. Up North we play regularly on Thursday, Saturdays and Sundays with some Tuesday games too. As a general rule, just check the threads.

The link to the car park is in the first post... "pekham". But every time I've been (twice) it's been newington the one above... I'm Wimbledon too by the way... most of the time...

Oh and they are very friendly at souths... highly recommend just turning up...

Three questions, firstly how difficult do people think playing in clipless is? (birthday present, I'm not very good at clipping in yet! on the bike so choice is to play with them today or not play)

Can I borrow a malet?

And so i can stop asking to borrow one, anyone got a peice of tubing spare? Or know the location of some gas works between south polo and wimbledon?

I used to play in SPDs and used to unclip constantly for fear of falling. As soon as I switched to powergrips, I was a lot more confident.

Gabes, Dan (BRBPC) and Yorgo are all really good clipless players, so just give it a go :)

if you're going to ride clipless, use time ATACs, never come unclipped and feel solid as fuck. I don't use clips and straps cos i've been riding clipless since i was 13, so for 18 years almost.

If you just got them today, I wouldn't advise it, but, IMO, they are better than clips.

just wanted to say thanks y'all for last week. had a wicked time and felt thoroughly welcome, even when i was going the opposite way to the ball on purpose. good to meet/re-meet/see people too.

had massive cramping pains in my hand all thursday (keep it clean!) so might not be along for a few weeks til I've built up the guns some more. but polo is ace and i'll be back!

Yep! Aidan is bringing some for JP, Taki and Louis who are all mallet-less. I remember when we used to play in Peckham and Dave would have to carry 6 mallets each week :)
