| | If that would give me a good chainline using Stronglight track cranks and a goldtec hub I would take it.... transmission database doesn't offer this info tho, anyone know if it would? Trouble is I can't remember what size my UN54 is. Shit. I think it's 110. You do get 5mm adjustment with the Phil cups tho don't you? |

| | the locktite didn't hold and the bb moved some mm's to the drive side. when previously i could see threads on both sides i could only see it on the drive side now. so apparently the bb is 73mm and the bmw bb shell is 68. ok i'm confused, are bb shells a standard width? are bb a standard width? if i know my bb is iso square taper as are my sugino 75s, and my bb shell is british and my cups are british, i would it all have worked together. and it did. but not perfectly. where did i go wrong? maybe i should post this in mechanics... ps thanks to jakob and andy at 14 for sorting my new wheels, bb and chain! |

| | dale - the bb is 2.5 mm too wide for the frame on either side, the spindle length is correct - how does he adjust to account for the lack of thread in contact with the bb shell without severely compromising his chainline?..... the only possible security he could have is by bunging a couple of bb lockrings from a loose bearing bb on. |

| | answered that one on your other thread about this http://www.londonfgss.com/thread23119.html - probably worth attempting a complaint. |

| | ha! they all say 68/73 mm! http://philwood.com/store/page30.html i guess it's the 5mm of adjustment it allows, so i guess everyone is right! |
