2009-07-11 Sat - Cambridge Tourney

Right, so after a few early mistakes and SO MANY date changes, the people of Cambridge are proud to be hosting a polo tournament on Saturday 11th July 2009 .

Depending on team numbers it's going to be the same format as the Oxford tournament the other week. The court we are using is very similar...

and is located here (with route from Cambridge train station)...

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2841823

Trains from London run from Liverpool Street or Kings Cross. If coming from Liverpool Street you can alternatively get off at Great Shelford (south-east of the court on the map).

We're looking into accommodation for people who will need it. If people stay the night, we have throw-ins on Sundays as well at another court.

Please post in this thread or send a PM if you can/will/want to play. Also, send over a PM if you think you'll need accommodation for the night.

This should be really fun and hopefully a lot of people can make it.

Thanks,
All of Cambridge

Yeah, it's in a big park. There's also a skate ramp right next to it if people want to 'go crazy'.

Took my team off the list. Need to confirm - this is the same day as the Dunwich Dynamo. Jon may be riding for sure, and I've been hoping to do it myself... :(

Right guys, as this is getting closer it would be great to start a list of teams that can confirm. We want to get a better idea of how many teams to expect.

Bump bump bump!

Please chuck your names down on the list above as soon as you can, we're getting closer by the day...

We're all ganging together to make this a great tournament and it's looking like it's going to be a really good day. Prizes are coming together nicely as well as other festivities (at and after polo)!
